Season of Creation Reflection Day

Each year from September 1 (World Day of Prayer for Creation) to

October 4 (the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi), the Christian family

unites for this worldwide celebration of prayer and action to

protect our common home. It is a special season where we

celebrate God as Creator and acknowledge that humanity’s well-

being is interwoven with the well-being of the Earth. This year

the theme for the season is “Peace with Creation.”

This day offers time to encounter saints and holy people whose

lives exemplified “peace with creation.” Reflecting on their lives

and words will lead us to experience the beauty of nature and

God’s presence within creation.
