Camp Maria offers a variety of meeting rooms, dining lodge, game room, bathhouse, and various lodging buildings. A total of 153 beds are available (51 in heated buildings). All buildings are wheelchair accessible.
Outdoor facilities include an outdoor altar area, large field areas, boardwalk and pier, canoes, pool, campfire site, basketball and volleyball courts, picnic table area, and large shaded areas with chairs. The pier and pool are wheelchair accessible.
Camp Maria Retreat Center offers limited Private Retreat opportunities. All retreats should reflect the mission of our ministry. Reservations must be made no later than 14 days prior to the retreat. Payment for private retreats must be received 10 days prior to arrival.
SPIRITUAL CENTER — The Spiritual Center is heated and features a large meeting room, game room, prayer room, large screened-in porch, and restroom.
DINING LODGE — The Dining Lodge accommodates 125 people and offers a beautiful view of Breton Bay.
ROOST — The Roost features a comfortable meeting room with 11 semi-private bedrooms and 1 single room – 23 beds total.
MARTIN HOUSE — The Martin House has dorm style accommodations with 16 single beds in 2 large rooms and 2 single rooms – 18 beds total.
CABINS — Five cabins have 8 single beds and 1 half bath. Four cabins have 9 single beds, 3 sets of bunk beds, and 2 half baths.
COTTAGE — The Cottage is for 1 to 2 people. It has 2 single beds, full bath, sitting area, air conditioning, and a screened-in porch overlooking Breton Bay.
OSPREY — The Osprey Retreat House is for individual private retreats and small groups up to 10 people. It is also available as overflow lodging for large groups (when the capacity of our other lodging buildings is exceeded). The Osprey features the following accommodations:
- 10 single beds – three rooms with 2 beds, one room with 4 beds
- 2 bathrooms (3 showers)
- Full kitchen, living room, dining room
- Heating/air conditioning
- Screened-in porch
- Pillow, blanket, and mattress pad cover are provided
OUTDOOR ALTAR — Our beautiful outdoor altar area overlooks Breton Bay.
BOARDWALK & PIER — The boardwalk and pier are wheelchair accessible. Canoes are available during the warmer months.
POOL — Our 30’ x 75’ pool is open from late May to mid-September. Certified lifeguards must be present for use of the pool. You may either bring your own certified lifeguard or hire one from the local area. Please inquire for more details.
THE CAMPFIRE SITE – Our large campfire site overlooks Breton Bay.
ORATORY – Secluded space protected from the weather for small group meetings or quiet prayer. Many of the Oratory furnishings have been funded by The Class of 1958, St. Mary’s Academy in Leonardtown, MD. Sister Julia Clare Fontaine, SCN was a beloved teacher of theirs. A beautiful abstract art piece by Fr. Jaroslaw Gamrot, Pastor of Holy Face Church in Great Mills, MD dominates this prayerful space.
